Best of 2007.

Last week on the show saw our Part 1 of the best of 2007. This saw music that didn't quite make it in the Phat 22 for 2007, yep it was the music that John West rejected, nah only kidding. 2007 produced some awesome music that really needs celebrating, that's why we have two shows that make up the best of 2007 because there is so much music it's amazing!

This week on Phat Music sees Part 2 of the best of 2007 which is our Phat 22 for the year! I can tell you that it's massive this year! Last year we had the usual top 20 which everyone does.Now what I have noticed is that a lot of countdowns now are 22, is the top 20 now 22? What do you think? All I know is when we started our Phat 22's this year, there was no mention of top 22 countdowns anywhere until we were months into this countdown idea of ours. The main reason we have 22 is because that is the amount of songs that make up Phat Music each week.

Anyway, tune into 94.7 The Pulse Geelong cos it's going to be massive! We have other spins on our regular segments so it's worth listening into.

Wow it has been a while...

It has been a while since our last blog and well things have been crazy for us here at Phat Music.

Since we last typed we have had a number of things happening.

One thing is on September 15 we had our Tupac special to commemorate 11 years since the passing of the great Tupac Shakur, which really the music speaks for itself.

We have had a number of Friday night specials including interviews which has made Phat Music interesting.

Oh I forgot to tell ya.....

Last week saw the likes of us catching up with DJ Perplex winner of the 2006 DMC World DJ Championships ahead of the Finals in Sydney this week. There will be more on this in Sold Out this week. We also had a Phat Sampler of Common's newbie "Finding Forever" which is a fantastic album. So as you can tell last weeks show was absolute chockas.

Same goes for this week. This week we are featuring the artists that are either nominated or performing at this years Urban Music Awards in Sydney this week which is happening Tuesday 14th August. We will be wrapping this up on Friday night and going through who won what and what went down at the show! Phat 22 for July

Hi Everyone!

Yes it is July already scary isn't it not as scary as another Friday rocking around and this Friday so happens to be Friday the 13th wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well rest assure the show isn't scary as this week is our Friday Night Special Special. No there is no spelling mistake our Friday Night Special Special is like our Friday night Special but times four!

Yet it's setting up for another addition of Phat Music and this week on the show it's setting up to be another hot show!

Wow what a show last week!! Speaking to Pressure from the Hilltop Hoods was such a buzz! It was very insightful on how he views hip hop and the music scene in general. Last year we had spoken to Suffa just after the ARIA's when they just took away two awards including best Urban release. Those guys rock (or hip hop whatever way you put it)!
